Miriam DeCosta-Willis, professor of Africana Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, is the editor of Blacks in Hispanic Literature, The Memphis Diary of Ida B. Wells, and the forthcoming Daughters of the Diaspora: Afra-Hispanic Writers. A specialist in Afro-Hispanic literature, she also co-edited Erotique Noire/Black Erotica, Double Stitch: Black Women Write About Mothers and Daughters, and Homespun Images: An Anthology of Black Memphis Writers and Artists.
